Email Karen NewmanKaren Newman (nee Eves) - Family Law
Karen was born in Maidenhead and worked in family law for a number of years before joining Colemans in 2004 where she is now an Associate of the firm. As an experienced family solicitor she advises in all aspects of divorce and separation including resolution of the finances, property and pensions, and issues relating to children. Karen also deals with injunctions relevant to domestic abuse, and advises on cohabitation issues and pre-marital agreements.
Karen achieved the status of Accredited Specialist of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) with a rare distinction for the very high standard of her exam and portfolio work. This status acknowledges her particular skills in handling family disputes. She is also a member of the Thames Valley Family Lawyers Society, as well as the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Domestic Violence Forum, and volunteers for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau Rota. She is also a member of the local branch of the Berks, Bucks and Oxfordshire Resolution Committee. Karen has written articles on family law and has presented seminars to various support organisations.
Away from the office she is a volunteer for ‘Family Friends in Windsor and Maidenhead’, and is involved in several areas of charity fundraising having been a former chairman of Maidenhead Rotaract.
