Maidenhead-girl Kate Williams was awarded a training contract in 2007 having completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. Kate’s first contact with Colemans was during a work experience placement while still at Newlands School but she then joined the firm full time as a paralegal secretary. This experience served to confirm her ambitions to become a lawyer and she subsequently graduated from Kingston University with 2:1 in Law LLB (Hons) with Business.
A training contract, which is not easily acquired, is a period of practice-based training that is tailor made for graduates who wish to qualify as a solicitor. As such, Kate will spend time in each department at Colemans gaining practical experience in law and learning to apply a range of skills in areas such as company law, conveyancing, family law, etc.
