The Government’s Legal Services Commission requires specialist law firms to undertake comprehensive surveys of client satisfaction, and Colemans Solicitors of Maidenhead found that 91% of clients who responded to their latest survey gave a high rating across a range of questions.

The area of specialism for which Colemans has LSC approval is Family and Child Care law, and clients were surveyed about their experience of having their legal matters handled by individual lawyers within Colemans. Alison Whistler, head of the Family Law Department at Colemans, said, “Even though we feel confident that we have provided a good service to our clients, it is always a tense time when the survey takes place. The Legal Services Commission is interested in the practical side of how we manage client cases, but also expects us to survey our clients with questions such as, ‘How well did we listen to what you had to say?’ and ‘How well did we keep you up to date with the progress of your case?’ The crunch question I suppose was, ‘Would you recommend us to someone else if they needed help or advice?’ and I am pleased to say that 91% of our clients said they would.”
