Private Client Solicitor15th September 2021 11:09 am
We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor with up to 2 years’ PQE specialising in Private Client work. This opportunity is also open to a solicitor who has taken steps to cross over into Private Client law from another area of practice and we are happy to consider applications from candidates seeking full or part-time work.
On offer is a competitive basic salary depending on relevant experience, plus a contractual performance related bonus scheme that is intended to be achievable and to genuinely motivate.
The successful candidate will have some experience of a range of private client work including drafting basic wills, preparing and advising on LPAs and administration of estates. He or she should also be interested in future professional development in this sphere of work whether in terms of Solicitors for the Elderly accreditation or undertaking STEP or ACTAPS qualification. Marketing and business development for both the private client department and the firm as a whole will also be expected; training and experience in this regard will be provided.
This role offers an interesting variety of work within a department that has a loyal client following; in many cases we are now acting for the third generations of families. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain significant technical experience and insight and will be joining an enthusiastic established team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior solicitor with a genuine interest in building on his or her current experience, expanding his or her knowledge base, building and developing lasting client relationships and being part of a respected and highly-regarded team.
Our competency framework requires fee earners to demonstrate:
- Integrity, reliability and sound decision making;
- Adaptability, motivation and initiative;
- High quality technical ability, prioritising and problem solving;
- Teamwork, effective communication skills and resilience.
